We care about what our customers have to say. Here’s what they’ve been saying.

New York Western Electric was a leader and pioneer in the Air Filtration and Design Industry in New York City. The HVAC Design Division was headed by my Father P.M. Tester BSME, Plant Engineer, in
the Design and Construction Division in the 1950s. Mr. P.M. Tester published an article on the subject in Plant Engineering Magazine. Quoting the article “an air filter is defined as the ratio of output to input, when applied to air cleaning, input is the amount of atmospheric dust contained in the entering air while the output is the amount of dust retained by the filter. Dust constitutes a complex mixture in a wide range of particle sizes that can vary in content and concentration with the location, season, wind velocity and direction, the type of manufacturing materials produced in an environment. Particulate matters in suspension are called aerosols and constitute smoke, dust, mites, fumes any inorganic and organic materials, viruses, bacteria, fungus, molds etc. Therefore in the past it was impossible to design one type of filter which would be suitable for all applications. Two specific methods of determining filter efficiency are the weight and or discoloration method.”

The other consideration that must be included for a superior design is the Dust Holding capacity calculation which is a percentage relation between the dust fed to the device as compared to the dust passing through the device. This is expressed in the following formula E = 1 – Q2 x100Q1. Where Q1 = weight of dust fed Q2 = weight of dust passing to the device. In the past, the difficulty economically was in selecting the most economical filter and one having an efficiency equal to meet the requirements that are suitable to a particular location. The application difficulty in air filter design has now been greatly improved by the AIRSPACE filtration system leading to exceptional air quality, being less costly than any other system currently on the market. The AIRSPACE Magnaflex electrostatic filter system attracts unwanted airborne particles and reduces the re-circulation of these contaminants throughout the indoor air, while protecting your HVAC a system. This method will greatly increase the efficiency in attracting and capturing particles from passing through the HVAC a system which in turn will run a greater capacity, less maintenance and system malfunctioning while reducing overall cost. Installing the AIRSPACE Filtration on pre existing air return and primary supply grills along with your existing HVAC a filter will triple the filtration efficiency for Commercial, Residential, and industrial applications.RICHARD TESTER, MECHANICAL ENGINEER BSEE HVAC DESIGN
